This section summarizes some of the more common error messages that you may see when you use Energy Analysis.

The following screen displays when your logon times out:

  • Go to the logon page and log back on to Energy Analysis.

Error logging into site. Please restart your browser and try again. If the problem persists, contact the site manager and have them review the machine event log.

 

Entered incorrect User ID and/or password.

 

Logon Page

 

1. Enter the correct user ID and password. Energy Analysis is case sensitive.

2. We Energies has several Web sites for business customers and all of them use different user IDs and password. Please verify that you are trying to logon to the Energy Analysis Web site by verifying that “Energy Analysis” is displayed on the upper right corner of the logon screen. For example, the Business Account OnLine Web site has a user ID and password that you would have set up and is most likely different from the Energy Analysis user ID and password.

No accounts of type Electric are available for the selected group

Or

No accounts of type Gas are available for the selected group

 

Invalid search criteria

 

Accounts

 

1. Use the Clear Button to clear both the Account Name and Account Number fields.

2. Enter fewer letters or numbers to find the account.
3. Enter only part of the account number and not the account name.

4. If you selected electric, it means no electric accounts are available. Try selecting gas for Service Type.
5. If you selected gas, it means no gas accounts are available. Try selecting electric for Service Type.

6. Check the Group Name. The account that you are searching for must be in the Group that is listed. Check if other Groups are available for you to search.
7. If you have tried all of the above and still have a problem, Email Us to report the problem.
  

Sorry, there are no meters available for the chosen account.

 

Gas accounts and accounts on electric rates CG2 (34) and CG3 (70 and 74) do not usually have the functionality to allow MeterLink to update data.

 

MeterLink

 

1. Generally, electric rates CG2 (34) and CG3 (70 and 74) accounts will have data updated once a month a few days after the meter has been read for billing.
2. If near "real time" access is desired, an Energy Information Options contract can be signed. See Energy Information Options.

3. Gas account data is automatically updated once a day at 5 p.m.

Did not click on radio button for account on Accounts screen.
 

 

MeterLink

 

Click on radio button for account on Accounts screen before selecting MeterLink --or any other screen.

Email message as a result of using MeterLink

 

1. Try MeterLink request again. Sometimes there are problems with the communication devices.

2. If it does not work after trying again, Email Us so that we can investigate the problem.
 

Bill Period does not match Rates Effective Period. Please go back and try again.
 

 

Entered Bill Calc Month, Year, Start and /or End Date before Effective date.

 

Bill Calc

 

Check Effective Date for selected account and enter Billing Month, Year, Start and End Dates after the Effective Date.

BillCalc

 

 You will need to close Energy Analysis and do a new logon. When in the BillCalc screen, check the Effective Date for selected account and enter Billing Month, Year, Start and End Dates after the Effective Date.

Bill Processing that is done by We Energies staff has not been done for this account.

 

Bill Viewer

 

1. Account is on a “blank” rate that does not allow bill processing. This occurs when computer coding to create the correct rate has not been done. Use Contact Us on Login screen to send email to notify us that you are interested in using Bill Viewer and/or doing determinant graphing.

2. Bill Processing has not been done for the account. Use Contact Us on Login screen to send email to report this. You will be notified when this has been completed so you can view this information.

Enter date in the following format for Channel, Graph and Tab screens: MM/DD/YY
Use MM/DD/YYYY for Bill Calc screen.
